Spero, Nancy
(8/24/1926 Cleveland- ) (USA / France / Germany)
   Sculptor, painter, collagist, and printmaker. Earned a B.F.A. at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Atelier Andre L'Hote, and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Taught art for a time in Paris. Member of the Women Artists in Revolution group since 1969. Founded the A.I.R. Gallery in New York in the 1970s. Throughout her career her art has focused on images of women.
